Rocky Mountain Pipe Band
The Rocky Mountain Pipe Band has established itself as a musical and competitive leader, having been ranked among North America's best bands.
Formed in 1998 and based in Calgary, Alberta, the RMPB is a competitive Grade 3 pipe band. Comprising some of the most talented and skilled musicians in the province, current RMPB members have competed at the Provincial, Canadian, North American and even World Championships at the Grade 1 level. The Rocky Mountain Pipe Band was recently awarded first prize in the final three contests of the 2012 Alberta pipe band season in Okotoks, Calgary and Canmore. The band is looking forward to continuing on with this success in the 2013 season.
The band wears the distinctive Isle of Skye tartan, and is under the leadership of Pipe Major Stuart Brazier and Lead Drummer Duncan Pickard.
